Laura Alvies
Best recognized as a Lyrical Praise dancer and worshiping warrior, Laura Alvies, a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Tech by trade, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Ethics from Crossroads Bible College. She is an evangelist, counselor, teacher, intercessor,and Chaplin. Having been formally trained in tap, jazz, and ballet from the age of 5-17, she danced at Footlight and Starlight Musicals, Thorntown's Renaissance Festival, Lawrence North H.S. Band Dancer/Guard and various commercials for LS Ayers along-side several members of Dance Kaleidoscope.
Laura left formal dance for about 15 years and began again in the arena of Christian Arts, training in Modern/Contemporary dance. Over the last 13 years, she has danced with several local church ministries and independent Christian ministries, including: Upon This Rock Productions, Sacred Dance Institute, Beautiful Feet Dance Ministry, Faith Hope and Love, Steps2Christ, and Greater Vision Productions Christian Dance Co.
In addition, Laura has taught/choreographed for several dancers and ministries and started a summer program at Jireh Sports incorporating dance technique. Most recently, she has danced as a guest with Iibada and Epiphany dance companies in the Broadway in Black production at Madam CJ Walker, 2011; and is currently a member/instructor for Spiritual Feet Dance Co. and Steps2Christ dance ministry
Laura has also served as a counselor/volunteer for organisations such as: Crisis Pregnancy Center,
Wheeler Mission Camp, Indiana Family Institute, and Jireh Sports
